Rising Cave
Access The resurgence is situated 45 metres South of the entrance to Truckhill Cave. It is best approached from nearby Truckhill Farm, sited 1 mile SE of Oreton Village near Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire. It is private property and permission to visit must be obtained from the owners of Truckhill Farm.
Description The resurgence consists of a small stream emerging from a small low rock outcrop. It is possible to enter the rising via a tight low crawl for about 5 metres through boulders and debris. Various attempts to extend this passage by digging have taken place with a view to connecting it with the stream passage in Truckhill Cave; however, this has met with little success as prospects of extension are extremely poor due to the fact of a c series of collapses which exist between this site and Truckhill Cave stream passage.
