Active Cave
Access The cave lies in a small clump of trees, 91 degrees 160 metres from Truckhill Farm and is best approached on the minor road from Oreton Village, 1 mile away near Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire. It is private property and permission to visit must be obtained from the owners of Truckhill Farm.
Description The cave consists of a low entrance passage which joins a stream passage after 17 metres. Follow upstream for 12 metres to a 2 metres deep pool and sump, an archway under water was dived in 1970 for about 5 metres in length and about 3 metres in depth. Above the pool, a low, silted up passage continues for 10 metres. Down stream at the entrance passage junction it is possible to crawl in the stream for about 6 metres before the passage becomes too tight. The whole of the cave floods completely in wet weather conditions.
