The cave is situated in an old quarry known locally as Craig Derwyddon which is to the NW of Llandybie behind the Glan Gwenlais quarry. From the junction opposite Glan Gwenlais quarry entrance, turn right and follow the road for a few hundred metres, past a lake on the left. At the far end of the lake an old quarry track leads up through the trees. At a junction with another path turn right and enter the quarry. There were originally two entrances to the cave but the way through the lower, larger entrance, has now collapsed. The other entrance known as Ogof Craig Derwyddon is situated about 5 m above the larger and more obvious entrance.
Description
An interesting cave that is formed in very steeply angled limestone beds which are well exposed in the Glan Gwenlais quarry immediately behind Craig Derwyddon.
The entrance leads via an excavated crawl to the large Main Chamber which has a steep floor of boulders and mud. Some of the boulders are loose and so care must be taken.
