Cave
Access In wooded cliffs above River Elwy. These cliffs are known as the 'cefn rocks' which lie on the land of Sir Watkin Williams Wynn. There is a gate just past Plas yr Cefn Estate. Go through to follow a footpath which forks several times. Try the lower but do not descend to the river.
Description The cave has three entrances which all link inside the cave. There is a further passage which joins the surface but no break-through has yet been made. Main entrance is on a ledge above the valley (33 metres). Note the vertical pot at the back of the cave (filled with cave deposit). Note the scallops outside the main entrance, indicative of water going in. Was a considerable archaeological site which may still have prospects. Much broken glass about the place.
